The exterior lighting package comes standard with Grote's MicroNova® DOT LED lamps, designed to improve visibility and service life of the lights.  The system also features dual intensity clearance lights, with an available option for five clearance lights with outer turn signal.

Premium Landing Gear
GD60 features an all bolted construction for ease of repair and maintenance

Great Dane Model 60 Landing Gear uses a constant mesh gear box which keeps gears engaged for consistently smooth shifting. The landing gear construction features a floating nut design which protects the elevating screw from damage caused by dock walk.

Supported by angle bracing at the front and rear, the GD Model 60 has a lift capacity of 55,000 lbs. The mount spreads the load over five crossmembers, and steel gussets ensure extra support, stability, and strength. Completing the design, Great Dane's replaceable shock-mounted sand shoes reduce stresses in the mount by 50 percent. Componentry is bolted in place for ease of repair.

Industry's most advanced modular panel foaming process produces a more thermally consistent and superior product. Great Dane's advanced technology combines temperature, mix ratios, pressure and metering of the Panel Foaming Process ensure Everest reefers deliver maximum thermal performance.  Foam rises in one direction only resulting in flat walls and perfectly shaped panels.  Fully insulated panels are then assembled using modular construction resulting in the consistent product, ease of replacement of an equally durable panel.

Modular Panel Construction

PunctureGuard - Premium Reefer Lining Standard
Great Dane's standard reefer lining, PunctureGuard, is lighter and stronger than any other lining

Designed to protect a trailer's interior walls from everyday abuses, PunctureGuard linings and scuffbands are incredibly thin, yet extremely puncture resistant. Inherent by design, PunctureGuard is lighter weight and has nearly 3x the peel strength of other linings, making it resistant to delamination. Its thermoplastic properties make it easy and quick to repair, reducing maintenance time and costs. And above all, it provides the most impact resistance available in trailer linings. PunctureGuard provides the extra protection that will extend the life of your trailer, load after load, year after year.

Front End Protection
Long Lasting, strong and durable protection

The lower front of the trailer is protected from corrosion by a stainless steel front bottom rail. The upper coupler is constructed with galvanneal components and additional rust-preventative coatings for a long-lasting, strong and durable connection.

Industry's highest floor rating

Great Dane's floor system combines the industry's highest floor rating with the strongest support features. The aluminum duct floor is robotically welded full length to seal out all moisture. The floor's insulation is further protected from external moisture resistant. Corrosion protection is enhanced by employing Magnicoated fasteners to install the floor and composite floor sills.

Maintenance-Free Floor Construction

Everest Series reefer floors are constructed with composite floor sills, which, unlike Apitong wood sills, will not absorb water.  Advantages of composite sills include weight savings and maintenance-free design. Full-width composite floor sills are located over each crossmember for support. Composite sills lessen the chance of weld breaks caused when wood sills are crushed or deteriorate due to moisture.

ThermoGuard - the only lining that can save you money
How can you save thousands of dollars in fuel costs?

ThermoGuard is a composite material with an aluminum barrier layer that seals the insulation, blocking out air and water vapor while trapping the insulating gas within the foam. Great Dane's 0.070" ThermoGuard Lining Package includes Sides, Front, Roof and 0.040" ThermoGuard subpan for maximum protection from top to bottom. Traditional liners do not seal the insulation, allowing air and water vapor into the insulation as the trailer ages.
